Sacred Heart roots New Orleans Your piece on the Cathedral Academy in the June 22 Clarion Herald (“Cathedral Academy valedictorian strives to be a saint”) is very interesting. However, there is more to the background of the Cathedral School than your article shows, so I enclose a short history.

I’m really not a big fan of word jumbles. I’m too linear in my thought process and when I see “ROBUT,” I’m not thinking “TURBO.” I’m thinking, “How could they misspell ROBOT?” But, just for fun, play along with me and see if you can un-jumble the following word… “GARIREAM.” Somehow, even after solving the puzzle, I still feel like the word “marriage” is jumbled.

Archbishop Gregory Aymond has appointed Charles W. Heim Jr. as interim executive director of the Catholic Foundation of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Heim has more than 37 years of development experience in the New Orleans area and serves as a consultant to nonprofits throughout the Southeast United States.

Msgr. Howard H. Hotard served for 58 years as a diocesan priest, including 32 years as the pastor of Our Lady of Lourdes in Slidell, but it was St. Joseph’s Abbey in St. Benedict, where he first studied for the priesthood and then volunteered for 12 years in his retirement, that served as the sacred bookends to his life of ordained ministry.

Dr. Robert Chasuk was in his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the State University of New York-Stony Brook nearly 30 years ago when a distraught woman, pregnant with her fourth child,  came into his office.
