ST. ANGELA MERICI hosts the “2022 Rose Rally for Life,” all-night event with midnight Mass, adoration, confession, July 29 at 9 p.m. to July 30 at 6 a.m. Teens from nine archdiocesan youth groups walk a track to fundraise for local pro-life agencies in the “Lights! Camera! Take Action!” themed event. Archbishop Gregory Aymond will attend opening ceremony. Since 2019, rally participants have raised more than $32,000 through registration fees, donations, concession sales. The 2022 proceeds benefit Access Pregnancy and Rachel’s Vineyard. LOYOLA UNIVERSITY NEW ORLEANS LAW SCHOOL, Dean Madeleine Landrieu, J.D. ’88, received the 2022 President’s Award June 9 from the Louisiana State Bar Association at its General Assembly in recognition of her exemplary leadership as a judge, law school dean and her overall commitment to the practice of law in Louisiana. Dean Landrieu advocates for laws and policies relative to children who come before the courts because of abuse or neglect. She is a founding board member of the Louisiana Institute for Children in Families and has helped launch Louisiana’s Quality Parenting Initiative and Louisiana Fosters. She teaches Trial Advocacy and the Comparative Rights of Children.
