Bishop Cheri to be lauded May 21
“I Know I’ve Been Changed,” a Mass of Thanksgiving, will celebrate the life of Bishop Fernand Cheri as a priest, pastor and bishop, May 21 at 3 p.m. Father Sidney Speaks will be the celebrant; and Father Tony Ricard, the homilist. Bishop Cheri established the choir at this parish and touched many people. A prelude before Mass will combine audio clips from people’s testimony about Bishop Cheri. A reception follows in the St. Joseph the Worker Hall across from the church, 455 Ames Blvd., Marrero.
