St. John of the Cross Church in Lacombe will host the 2024 Holy Spirit Novena May 10-18.
The theme for the novena is taken from Luke 1:35 – “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you.”
The nightly schedule includes praise and worship and confessions at 6:30 p.m., with Mass at 7 p.m. at the church, 61030 Brier Lake Drive, Lacombe. Follow live on Facebook at St. John of the Cross Lacombe.
Celebrants and music for each night are as follows:
May 10: Father Sidney Speaks, pastor of St. Joseph the Worker; Jamie Diliberto and Tongues of Fire.
May 11: Father Gil Martin, celebrating his 50th priestly anniversary; Vince Vicidomina and the St. John of the Cross choir. Dessert and coffee follow.
May 12: Father Dan Dashner, parochial vicar of Most Holy Trinity; St. Helena choir.
May 13: Father Francis Offia, pastor of St. Bonaventure; Missy Spinosa and Donovan Barnes.
May 14: Father Andrew Rudmann, pastor of St. Philip Neri; Colin McIver.
May 15: Father Andrew Gutierrez, faculty of Notre Dame Seminary; John Finch. Coffee to follow.
May 16: Father Beau Charbonnet, pastor of St. Angela Merici; Linden Uter.
May 17: Father William Mumphrey and Father Sylvester Adoga; music by Bauer, Brewer, Rhodes, St. Cyr & Schneidau. This will be a healing Mass.
May 18: Father Tuan Pham, pastor of St. John of the Cross; Donna Guidry and the Sacred Heart choir.
