Jubilarians celebrate nearly 2,700 years of service

Archbishop Gregory Aymond will celebrate the annual Mass of Thanksgiving for priests, deacons and religious of the Archdiocese of New Orleans who are celebrating significant anniversaries of service April 7 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Rita Church, 2729 Lowerline St., in New Orleans.

Jesuit Father Gregory Waldrop, rector of the Jesuit Community at Loyola University and a 25-year jubilarian, will be homilist. As a group, the 55 jubilarians have served in religious ministry for 2,695 years.

A reception at St. Mary’s Dominican High School will follow the Mass.
