Sacred Heart Brother named executive director, Office of Religious

Sacred Heart Brother Ronald (Ron) Travers has been appointed executive director of the Office of Religious. This appointment was effective Aug. 1, 2023. The office will continue to be at 7887 Walmsley Ave. in New Orleans.

Brother Ron, who entered the Brothers of the Sacred Heart in 1996 and made  his final profession in 2005,  has been a teacher, principal and assistant principal of curriculum and instruction. While serving in Brooklyn, Brother Ron assisted the Office of Religious in the planning of programs and events. He earned a master’s degree in religious education from Boston College in Massachusetts.
