The annual Silver Wedding Anniversary celebration, sponsored by the Office of Marriage and Family Life of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, was held March 27 at St. Joseph Church in New Orleans.
All couples married during 1997 were invited to attend, and 48 couples accepted the invitation, with clergy, relatives and friends of the jubilarians in attendance.
Archbishop Gregory Aymond presided at the prayer service.
Several of the couples observed anniversaries of more than 25 years. They are Jill and Paul Kelly, 30 years, New Orleans; Jody and Ronald LeJeune, 30 years, New Orleans; Maria de la Luz Soto and Jorge Rodriguez, 30 years, New Orleans; Diane and Adrian Schwing, 30 years, New Orleans;
