The Council of Catholic School Cooperative Clubs sponsors the annual Keep Christ in Christmas poster, essay and poetry contest. The Office of Catholic Education and Faith Formation selected winners in three divisions: grades 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. The contest is promoted by the Christ in Christmas Committee, which coordinates the placement of “Keep Christ in Christmas” billboards throughout the archdiocese. Go to www.keepchristinchristmasnola.org to see the exact locations of the 60-plus billboards.

Bright Christmas stars shine on high,
Golden stars in the winter skies
Christmas candles in windows bright send us the message of Christmas night
While in our hearts the Christmas flame glows with the love like His who came.
The infant Christ of lowly birth shall bring good will and peace to earth.
Many do not know the true meaning of Christmas, yet still are blessed with His forgiveness!
Christmas candles and wishing for snow, gingerbread men and lights all aglow
The star on our tree is shining so bright
For our precious Saviour was born on this night.
What a wonderful thing to always remember,
Jesus, our Savior, born in our hearts, born every December!
