Christian Brother Gale Condit has been appointed board chair of the Ascension DePaul Foundation, formerly known as the Daughters of Charity Foundation. A Christian Brother for more than 62 years, he will lead the board in decision making, fundraising and represent the foundation, which supports DePaul Community Health Centers. Brother Gale has served as a
teacher, counselor, development director and administrator at De La Salle High School, Archbishop Rummel High School, St. Paul’s School, the Academy of the Sacred Heart and the Institute of Human Relations at Loyola University. He also helped found Covenant House New Orleans, which provides shelter and services for youth under the age of 22. Brother Gale is currently development director of the Lasallian Christian Brothers Foundation of the San Francisco – New Orleans District and develops funds for the needs of retired Christian Brothers of the South.
