The St. Louis Cathedral Boychoir is accepting new members for its 2011-12 season.
The boychoir, under the direction of Dreux Montegut, is open to boys, ages 8 and up, with unchanged voices. Any boy with an interest in singing can join the boychoir. Auditions are for placement purposes only.
The boychoir rehearses weekly on Monday evenings at Cathedral Academy, sings at the 11 a.m. televised Mass at St. Louis Cathedral and participates in other special events and liturgies throughout the year.
Boys in the choir come from throughout the greater New Orleans area, including the northshore and the River parishes.
The first rehearsal and parent meeting is Aug. 22 at 6:50 p.m. For more information, contact Tara Hinds, administrative director, at [email protected].
